The court established deadline for filing a claim against Fidelity National Insurance Company (“Fidelity National”) was March 14, 2000.

On December 27, 1999, the First Interim Claims Report was filed with the Second Judicial Circuit Court, Leon County, Florida ("Court"). The motion requested that certain Class 3 claimants with unearned premium claims of $100 or less be deemed as "timely-filed" without the need for these claimants to file a proof of claim form. On January 3, 2000, the Court issued an Order approving the report. On January 20, 2000, notices were mailed to 3,607 Fidelity National claimants informing them of the Receiver’s recommendations concerning the classifications and amounts on their claims, along with instructions on how to proceed if a claimant objected to the recommendations. Objections were required to be filed by the claimant, in writing, with both the Court and the Receiver and postmarked by February 17, 2000. No objections were filed.

On August 9, 2007, the Second Interim Claims Report was filed with the Court. The Court issued an Order approving the report on August 13, 2007. On August 20, 2007, notices were mailed to 4,637 Fidelity National claimants informing them of the Receiver’s recommendations concerning the classifications and amounts on their claims, along with instructions on how to proceed if a claimant objected to the recommendations. Objections were required to be filed by the claimant, in writing, with both the Court and the Receiver and postmarked by September 28, 2007. Objections filed after that date were not considered.

On May 15, 2008, the Court approved the Final Claims Report regarding a distribution of assets in this estate. Under the terms of the Order, Class 1 claimants were approved to receive a 100% distribution and Class 2 claimants were approved to receive a 29.7511% distribution of the adjudicated amounts on their claims. Distributions were mailed on June 30, 2008. There are insufficient assets to make further distributions in this estate.

On December 12, 2008, the Court issued an order that discharged the Florida Department of Financial Services of its duties as Receiver of Fidelity National effective December 19, 2008. Pursuant to the Court order, all undelivered distributions were sent to the Department of Financial Services, Bureau of Unclaimed Property. The Bureau of Unclaimed Property may be reached at:
