GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Acquires technical knowledge related to the operation of insurance companies such as underwriting, subrogation and collections and applying such knowledge in support of the Asset Recovery functions of the Division.
Assists in the collection of data and records required to identify debts that require collection activity.
Prepares demand letters and support documents for the debt collection process.
Maintains accurate and complete files related to collection activities of the Asset Recovery section.
Assists in the selection and contracting process for outside collection firms.
Provides oversight of outside collection firms’ activities as well as serving as a technical support liaison to the firms.
Prepares reports on a scheduled or ad hoc basis related to the activities of the Asset Recovery section.
Assists in the identification of receivership property and records; additionally develops a comprehensive and accurate inventory of the identified property and records.
Travels to receivership locations in support of the duties assigned to the Asset Recovery section.
Performs research and craft responses to internal and external consumers related to areas of responsibility assigned to the Asset Recovery section.
Performs other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or
Professional experience in business administration, economics, insurance, claims, collections, accounting, or statistics may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
