Can I file a new claim against my surety bond?
No. Due to the court ordered cancellation of your surety bond on March 7, 2011, no new claims can be reported. In addition, any claim pending prior to the cancellation of all bonds on March 7, 2011 may now become a claim against the AequiCap estate because there is no guaranty association coverage for surety bonds. In the future, you will receive a proof of claim form in order to file a claim for losses that should have been covered by your surety bond.
