Dear Fellow Floridian:
There is no doubt that the past few years have been challenging economically for our nation and state. Now that all the economic numbers for 2012 have been released, we are able to better grasp how our economy fared last year and look forward to a successful 2013. To help illustrate the changes in Florida’s economy over the past few years, my office has put together an information graphic or infographic of Florida’s economy. These are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge used to communicate complex information quickly and clearly. I hope you find this one interesting and useful.
I believe that in order for our economy to flourish in the future, we must learn from the past. Economic trend lines are vital to help us move in the right direction, guiding our decisions so we can look forward to a prosperous 2013.
As we begin 2013, we know there are still challenges ahead of us, but Florida is taking steps forward, and I know the future will be bright.
