Florida policyholders with property damage claims need to show up and speak up.
If you have had a business or residential claim that you feel was not properly
handled, now is your time to share.
Florida’s Consumer Advocate, Robin Westcott, and the Director of Consumer
Services, Tasha Carter, will be holding a series of consumer forums in various
locations in Florida. These two hour morning and evening sessions will give
Floridians the chance to share their firsthand claim experience with
representatives from the Florida Department of Financial Services. Westcott
pledges the information gathered at these forums will be used to push for
improvements in the property insurance claims handling process.
Get ready, the first forum starts next week.

Fort Myers- Thursday, May 23, 2013As attorneys for policyholders with property damage claims, we advocate whenever
an opportunity arises, but how many Floridians have not been heard? Now,
policyholders have a chance to tell their own consumer advocate how their claims
were handled.
Some policyholders with sinkhole claims will have to travel to a forum, but we
encourage you to attend the Orlando or Tampa meeting if you reside on the West
Coast of Florida. Public Adjusters should make current and former clients aware
of this opportunity.
