The Bureau of Firefighter Standards and Training (BFST) Student Services Section at the Florida State Fire College reaches all members of fire and emergency service organizations throughout Florida. As the first line of communication for the BFST, we are proud to assist students through both telephone and internet support, answering questions related to fire certifications, registration and dormitories. In addition, we provide guidance to all guests on campus.
Exceptional customer service is our main focus. We regularly visit with classes and review employer surveys to ensure the learning experience at the Florida State Fire College exceeds the expectations of our students and their respective organizations. We have recently implemented a weekly survey for students who stay in the dormitory and the feedback has helped us to make recent improvements such as refrigerators, power strips and additional lighting in each dormitory room. We will continue to make improvements based on student requests as funding permits. We are still planning for campus expansion which will enhance the learning environment and training programs offered at the Florida State Fire College. Simply put, “we hear you!”
In addition to serving as Registrar for the Florida State Fire College, the Student Services Section operates the Fire College Bookstore, coordinates dormitory reservations and facility availability for all on-campus providers and specialty groups utilizing the Fire College for training.
The Section provides administrative support to all groups as needed and coordinates all events with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure our on-campus classes and training programs are always a successful experience. Our continuing goal is to exceed your expectations.
