Compliance Due Date
As a licensee, especially if a new one, you should be aware of your education compliance due date so you can complete required continuing education courses in time. If you are in compliance you will avoid a fine or having your appointments terminated. Your compliance due date is computed using your date of licensure, moving forward to the last day of your birth month and adding 24 months. You have a new continuing education requirement every two years as stated in Rule 69B-228.220(1)(a), Florida Administrative Code.

Because many factors may affect your continuing education requirement (e.g. licenses held, number of years licensed, etc.), we encourage you to regularly check your MyProfile account to determine your individual requirements and status.

Finding a Continuing Education (CE) Course
Do you need to locate a pre-licensing or continuing education course?
The Department’s search engine for courses is a helpful tool in locating courses. The search engine is located on our web site at http://www.MyFloridaCFO.com/Agents. Click on the "Education Central" icon Education Central icon at the top of the page. Then click on the "Find a C.E. Course" link. From there, you will be able to enter criteria to find a course that suits your needs. Click here to see a tutorial on how to do this. You can even search for approved courses by course provider if you enter the provider's name, select the course authority, then click the search button.

Submission Requirements for Education Providers
Education providers are responsible for submitting the correct information with new continuing education course applications. A list of the information that must be submitted can be reviewed on our web site in "Education Central". Under Providers of C.E. & Pre-Licensing on the right, scroll down to "Submit a Course, An Offering, or A Roster", then "What to Submit in a Course Application", and click on the "Continuing Education" link. Providers can determine the correct study method (classroom, webinar, seminar, correspondence/online) there as well. More detailed information about requirements for course applications can be found in Rule 69B-228.080, Florida Administrative Code.
