Failure to pay insurance bills brings chargesOrlando Sentinel From Wire reports Posted April 15, 2003 Two executives of an unlicensed health insurance company face felony charges and jail time in the failure to pay the medical bills of thousands of Floridians. Carmelo Zanfei and William Paul Crouse, who operated Greenwood, Ind.-based TRG Marketing LLC, were charged Monday with racketeering and operating an insurance carrier without a license. Crouse was arrested in Indiana; Zanfei was still at large late Monday. They each face up to 60 years in jail. According to Florida insurance regulators, TRG refused to pay claims totaling millions of dollars for more than 7,200 Florida customers, including Pete Orr of Lake County, a former race car driver who died last year of cancer owing more than $250,000 in medical bills.
