Department of Insurance investigators on Thursday arrested Phillip J. Sammario, of Miami, for allegedly issuing fraudulent certificates of insurance and selling insurance without a license. Investigators also arrested Martin J. Lann, an agent, and Lucille Sammario, who served as the office manager of the P.J. Insurance Agency in Homestead. Those who bought insurance through Sammario or Lann should contact their insurance company to verify their coverage. If they don't have coverage, the department said they could seek civil action.
