1. What is "eAppoint?"
- "eAppoint" is a new electronic appointment form for new
appointments, appointment terminations and the renewal of
appointments located on the web at
https://iportal.fldfs.com/eappoint/.

How
do I register to become an appointing entity on "eAppoint" under my individual
name or business name?
- If you
are a licensed general lines agent who wishes to appoint customer service
representatives or limited customer service representatives or a licensed
adjuster who wishes to appoint yourself or other limited lines adjuster, select
Register to Become an Appointing Entity. After selecting "Register to Become An
Appointing Entity," then select "Agency or Self Appointing." If you are
registering as an individual then you must enter your license number or your
social security number. If you are registering under a business then you must
enter a Federal Identification Number. After registering to become an
appointing entity you will receive a confirmation email, allowing you to
activate your account.

How
do I activate my account?
- From the
eAppoint website select
"ACTIVATE YOUR APPOINTING ENTITY ACCOUNT," input your
appointing entity number and the 9 letter activation code. If you do not have
your activation code, please contact us at (850) 413-3137.

4. Do we pay online?
- Yes,
acceptable credit cards will be Visa, MasterCard, American Express and
Discover. Also E-Check is available online.

5. Can we send in a check for payment?
- No,
checks through the mail will not be accepted. E-check is available online and
works just like a paper check.

6. Is there an option to upload the appointment information?
- Yes, you do have an option to upload a batch file of new
appointments. You may contact the bureau to provide the
technical specifications for creating and uploading a file.

7. Will paper appointments be accepted?
- No, the
bureau will not accept paper appointments with the exception of Bail Bond
appointments.

Will
a license number be required?
- Yes, the
bureau requires you to provide the licensee’s Florida license identification
number for each appointment. In the event that the type of appointment requires
a supervising licensee, the license number of the supervising licensee must be
provided.

9. I have entered a license number and "eAppoint" is saying it
doesn’t exist, what do I do?
- You will need to call the bureau at (850) 413-3137 for
further assistance.

10. What are the appointment penalty fees for new appointments?
- Failure to file a new appointment within 45 days of the
effective appointment date will result in a late fee of $250 for
each new appointment. This fee must be paid by the appointing
entity and may not be charged to the licensee.
Failure to pay
a renewal invoice by the last day of the renewal month will
result in a late fee of $30 for each individual listed on the
renewal invoice.
11. Why
can’t I access my renewal?
- The
renewal cannot be accessed until the 1st day of the renewal month.
12. Why can’t I terminate an
individual that is listed on the renewal?-
- The individual must be
terminated prior to the renewal month.
