Florida
Statutes 626.321 (1) (c) defines a “TRAVEL INSURANCE
AGENT” as an individual who transacts only
insurance for personal accident covering the
risks of travel.
Application
Qualifications:

Complete an online
application for License and submit
appropriate fees.
Apply or license
-
Be a natural person at
least 18 years of age.

Be a United States
citizen or legal alien who possesses a work
authorization from the United States
Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Be a full-time
salaried employee of a common carrier or a
full-time salaried employee or owner of a
transportation ticket agency, or full-time
salaried employee of such an agent.

The individual must
not be an employee of the United States
Department of Veterans Affairs or state
service office, as referred to in s.
626.833, Florida Statutes.

If Resident, Be
fingerprinted at one of the Department's
fingerprint sites.

fingerprint cards are mailed to the
applicant.

If Resident, and if
licensed in another state within three
years, provide a Letter of Clearance.
Special Notes
Applicant cannot be licensed as a motor
vehicle physical damage and mechanical
breakdown agent simultaneously.
