The Florida Department of Financial Services has been notified that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), which is responsible for processing all fingerprint information for background checks, will not be available to process any applicant fingerprints from April 26, 2012 through April 29, 2012. The delay may create a backlog once the FDLE resumes normal fingerprint processing on April 30, 2012.
License applicants who are required to provide a set of fingerprints will be affected by this delay. It is recommended they submit their fingerprints before this time to avoid a delay in receiving their license.
