Minority Candidates
The Florida Department of Financial Services
has established a Minority Candidate Database
in an effort to increase our pool of quality
minority candidates who wish to be considered
for employment within the Department.
The Minority Candidate Database (MCD) was established
in 1996 to assist with the Department's recruitment
needs. The MCD provides a computerized
listing of minority candidates who wish to be
considered for management and professional positions
within our Department. While inclusion
in the Database does not guarantee employment
for the individual, it does provide an excellent
resource for managers in the Department and
allows them to view the credentials of competitive
candidates as appropriate opportunities arise.
This initiative assists in our effort to promote
cultural diversity within our workforce.
The Bureau of Personnel Management, Employee
Relations Section, makes reasonable efforts
to ensure that each candidate referred is available
for employment and is able to be contacted at
the mailing address and telephone number(s)
listed on their application.
