Mission Statement

In support of the Department's Mission, the Division of Administration will Provide Superior Customer Service to Achieve Maximum Use of Financial, Human and Operational Resources.

About Us

The Division of Administration provides administrative services and support to the Department of Financial Services. This Division is comprised of the Director’s Office, Office of Budgeting, Bureau of Financial & Support Services, Bureau of Human Resource Management, Bureau of General Services and Office of Publications.

The Director’s Office is responsible for setting the policy, planning and direction for the bureaus and sections to carry out their day-to-day responsibilities. Also, this office is responsible for updating the Agency’s Administrative Policies and Procedures.

The Office of Budgeting is responsible for the preparation, administration, monitoring of the Agency’s Annual Legislative Budget Request (LBR) and any legislative proposals.

The Bureau of Financial & Support Services provides the central support services in the area of revenue, disbursement and payroll. The Disbursements Section maintains and disburses the Agency’s payroll, vendor invoices, and reimbursements to departmental employees and non-employees for travel expenses. The Receipts Section ensures all monies collected by the Agency are properly identified and posted.

The Bureau of Human Resource Management administers a comprehensive personnel program for the Agency including recruitment, employment, career enhancement counseling, classification and pay, attendance and leave, grievances and appeals, labor relations, Affirmative Action/EEO, personnel records, payroll changes, employment benefits, Employee Community Program, Employee Assistance Program, employee relations, and performance appraisals, ADA (Title I) and special projects.

The Bureau of General Services serves all employees in the Department of Financial Services. This Bureau is comprised of the Property Management Office, Mail Services, Printing, and Purchasing Services . Purchasing responsibilities include solicitation, evaluation, and awarding Invitations to Bid/Request for Proposals, and the issuance of purchase orders for both commodities and contractual services. This bureau is also responsible for the Agency’s emergency evacuation, property and related records, maintains storage and record keeping of property, building receptionist, credit card issuance, mail room deliveries and collections, duplicating, network color copying, printing envelopes, letterhead paper, numerous department booklets and brochures, bindery, trim, collating, and tabbing.
